Jacob Andreou Bought a Los Angeles House

Mar 06, 2023

For the past eight years, Jacob Andreou has been helping grow Snapchat's parent company Snap into a social media giant, boasting a whopping $4.5 billion in revenue. But he recently left his job as the company's head of growth to become general partner for the venture capital firm Greylock, where he’ll focus on consumer investing. He's also switching things up on the real estate front, having acquired new digs in Los Angeles.

Records show Andreou and his wife, former Entertainment Tonight host Carly Steel, recently paid $14.4 million for a contemporary residence sited on just over a quarter-acre parcel in the sought-after Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood, just steps from Rodeo Drive. They got a hefty discount on the property, which was originally listed a little over a year ago for $16.8 million.

The couple now owns a brand-new estate that was custom-built in 2022, and never before lived in by its owner due to a relocation. Tucked away behind a wall and gates, the boxy white structure has seven bedrooms and 10 baths spread across almost 9,500 square feet of living space decked out with blonde hardwood floors, timber-accented walls and ceilings, designer lighting, skylights, surround sound and an elevator to all three levels, plus walls of glass for harmonious indoor/outdoor environs.

A massive front door opens into a lengthy entry hallway displaying a curving floating staircase topped by skylights and a dangling rain droplet-like chandelier. Beyond that is a a formal living room sporting a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace flanked by a built-in bookcase and an en-suite bedroom that's currently staged as an office. Beyond that, fireside family and dining areas are spotlighted by sliding glass doors spilling out to a turf-clad backyard hosting a covered patio with fireplace, waterfall-fed pool and spa, and barbecue and bar setup. Back inside, a sleek DOCA kitchen has an island with a drop-down breakfast bar, Miele appliances and a separate prep kitchen.

Four en-suite bedrooms can be found upstairs, most notably a stylish master retreat that comes complete with a fireplace, sitting area, an expansive balcony and showroom-style closets, as well as a marble bath equipped with dual vanities, and a LED-lighted platform holding a soaking tub and large glass-encased shower. A wealth of glitzy amenities can be found on the lower level, which offers a movie theater, NFT gallery, gym, game room, seated bar and temperature-controlled wine cellar, along with a sauna and steam room.

In addition to his newly acquired spread, Andreou also maintains another modern Beverly Hills house that he's owned since 2019, shortly after it was newly built.
